Day 25 - December 18

Dear Julie,

You have to be the happiest baby I've ever met. You are always smiling, and I love to watch your little personality grow! Today you had some of the cutest and funniest faces I've seen, and I fall more in love with you with every face.

Today you also watched my very favorite Christmas movie, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." I have loved this story for as long as I can remember, and love that we got to share it together. Just the two of us! It was a special moment for me, even if you slept through the movie.

We finished up the evening with more Dr. Seuss, and your bedtime story was, "Green Eggs and Ham." I can't wait until you're able to read these stories with us, but for now, it's fun to see your reactions as we read to you.

Day 21 - December 14

Dear Julie,

Today, we played at the farm all day! Lilly and Madi made sugar cookies with Papa'll, and you and Eliza played together with Nana.

Nana sang songs to you, and her words flowed very easily. You are sooo little compared to Eliza.

There's only 8 weeks difference in age, but she is twice your size. However, I expect that you'll soon catch up with her. I absolutely love watching Nana interact with you.

She has her good days and her bad days, but when she gets to hold you, she talks more and interacts better with everyone. Nana hasn't always been this way, and oh how I wish you could have met her when I was a child. Your Nana loves you more than you'll ever know, and you love spending time with her. You just look at her and smile. Though it's hard for me to watch her deteriorate slowly, I am so happy you are able to spend so much time with her, and I truly believe that being around you is helping her mentally. Please, one day, let me have the same happiness through your children. Grandparents are a blessing, and you have some extra special blessings in your life.
